They now are giving this buyer/scammer a full refund AND allowing them 3 whole days to ship back the iPad that they damaged. Mercari APPROVED the return!! Even after I told them the whole story and I have photos, videos of the iPad right before I packaged it in perfect condition…I have every ounce of proof. So they DAMAGED my iPad and submitted photos to Mercari. They told me they were going to do a return but I said I do not accept returns. They proceeded to harass me through the messages and went so far as to create a fake profile posting the same iPad for sale with my pictures (same pictures same serial number etc). I had no way to cancel the order after it was shipped. A buyer bought my iPad and I dropped it off to be shipped but then the buyer tried to cancel. SELLERS BEWARE!!!! I’ve been on this app for 6 years. And I can't resell this item due to damage on the visible part you look at. Poor Instructions, poor support, horrible logic.
Deleting this companies app and will tell others to stay away. They sent money to seller and told me I didn't give them the right photos in time and my issue was resolved. Well I didn't see that email since there isn't a phone number to talk to a human. What logic is there in opening it now and telling me weeks later. That was not requested in the original photos and its already damages sticking out of the box. A week later I had an email stating I needed more photos of item inside and materials inside. I messaged back I sent them but here they are again. I received email saying I had 24 hours for the photos. They said they needed more photos and only a few specific ones. Package came with item sticking out messed up visually, the rest of package destroyed. No logic in customer support process and poor instructions for photos
I am very frustrated with Mercari customer service and have been from the start they make no effort at all to resolve a situation that they have created!!!! an example they choose to over charge shipping to its buyers and when a buyer sees an inflated shipping cost they look to the seller as the one charging that inflated shipping cost 100%!!! I list small items that way a few ozs and shipping anywhere in the USA is 5.00 or less yet Mercari charges 7.99 Mercari claims that is what USPS charges I looked into it at my PO with my Postmaster several times and Mercari is making the difference and into their pockets and at a buyers cost the worst of it I am not getting sales as a buyer sees that inflated shipping charge and moves on and is no longer interested in buying from me and as I said before that buyer thinks I am charging that inflated shipping and profiting from it Mercari has not interest into fixing that issue at all!!! as they seem to do with every issue I brought to their attention
